“Hello you! Yes, you! I'm talking to you! What do you say, there are no talking houses? Maybe, but in this case I was given a voice, so I can tell you my story. I'm so sad…. Nobody likes me because I do not look good. I am ashamed ... I am not a pretty house or a great villa, I am like I am ... In 1971 I was built by a German-Spanish couple. At that time there was pinewood here. As far as you could see, everywhere pine trees. I was all alone here and had a lot of green around me. I was built as a Spanish restaurant and my German owner found the rustic plaster wonderful he planted me. You must remember, it was about 46 years ago! I was new, I was young and many guests came and celebrated with my owners. Delicious food, great parties, until late at night. Guests drunk, laughed, life was wonderful and I was so proud that all these people had unforgettable experience in their vacation.
Then after a few decades: suddenly came the building boom, the forest became building land and one plot after another was sold around me. Little by little, the rustic ambience had disappeared, and I was now in the middle of it. I was no longer in the woods but around me that apartment houses were built. ... Cry, they look much nicer than me !!
Then my owner at the time and my Spanish owner could not continue the restaurant. I was transformed into a dwelling-house, as good as the financial possibilities allowed it. Today…. so almost half a century later, I am totally out of fashion. My owner is even older than me and I am a burden to her. Please buy me and repair me. There is so much potential in me. You can make a chic house with a tower or build several apartments. You have great ideas! Imagine how great everything would look in modern white or if you like, with quite smooth walls ... oh man, that would be my dream! Please, please transform me!!”
Fixtures and fittings:
The tower house has on the ground floor an entrance area with fireplace, a large living / dining room (the former restaurant room), two bedrooms and two bathrooms (1 x shower, 1 x bath), spacious kitchen. The upper floor is accessible via an outside staircase and currently has three guest studios each with living / sleeping area, bathroom and kitchenette in very basic equipment. In the tower is another studio accommodated. The house has oil central heating for the ground floor as well as air conditioning in the large living room. Connection to the sewer is available. The other equipment corresponds largely to the year of construction.
Location:
The tower house is located in a pure residential area of Cala Ratjada. Beaches, shops, bars and restaurants are within walking distance. Cala Ratjada, in the north-east of Majorca, enjoys great popularity among Northern European holidaymakers, in particular also due to the year-round infrastructure and the wide range of leisure activities. The harbor promenade to Son Moll beach is not to be found anywhere just as well as the popular Cala Agulla beach at the nature reserve. Within 25 km there are four fantastic golf courses. The place is said to have a very positive atmosphere.

*The story of the ugly duckling:
A duck mother breeds six ducks. The seventh egg, however, is larger, which is why it takes longer for the gray young duckling to hatch. The latecomer seems clumsy and awkward and is therefore mocked by the animals. It decides to run away. The duckling is locked up for a while by a peasant woman, and the duckling is able to flee shortly thereafter. It hides itself in the reeds and observes from there always the proud swans. When the winter comes over the country, the duckling must leave its hiding place to look for food. It freezes one night in a lake. But it is lucky as a farmer notice it, liberates it and carry it away. The duckling, however, flees again and hardly recognizes his reflection in the water: it has become an adult, proud swan.
