The village of Son Macia, and especially the varied rural areas are extremely popular with northern european holiday home owners because of the authentic Mallorquin village, the ideal infrastructure eastwards to the beaches of Cala Murada, Calas de Majorca, etc. and also towards the island's capital, Palma, with multi-faceted cultural, shopping and dining offerings as well as a yacht adhesion. Palma station for many cruise ships. In Son Macia itself there is a small supermarket, a bakery, a pharmacy, a market with local cafes where the retired Mallorquin people drink in the morning from 9:00 clock their carajillo (cafe with a shot). In Son Macia, the world is still okay!
